FFA meeting

There is an FFA meeting today at seven in the AG room for our members.

Nationals

Today our several students that had gone to the national FFA convention which is a meeting of FFA members from across the world returned from the convention. The convention is held in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Though along the way we did get a chance to visit many locations along the way such as a mine and a Harley-Davidson factory. After a few days of visiting these locations we eventually reached our destination.

There we were able to witness the election of new national FFA officers, officers retiring adresses, and we got the oppertunity to visit various workshops along the way.

It was a fun week and now we're off to school.

Assembly Honoring Magee

Today some of the officers went to a presentation at Morrisville honoring Assemblyman Bill Magee for what he's done for New York State agriculture, agircultural education and the FFA. The presentation lasted for half an hour. The National FFA President Paul Moya was there along with the state officers!

The National FFA President will be visiting our school today and is going to be hosting an assembly shortly. The assembly will last for thirty minutes and I'm sure it will be a great assembly.

Officer Retreat

All of our chapter's officers will be going up to Old Forge this weekend which I'm sure will be a blast. We're leaving at four on Friday and should be getting back Sunday afternoon.

Four lucky members of our chapter are going to be going on a convention called the Big E. The Big E is a cross-state agricultural fair and since one of our teams placed second in a contest at the state fair they will be getting a chance to go there. The people in the team that placed in second is Matt, Wesley, Megan, and Caralin. They will get an oppertunity to practice for next year at the state fair.
